Lamoille County Mental Health Services is Hiring a Billing Coordinator Near Morrisville, VT
Job Summary
The Billing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to input direct service timesheets into the electronic medical records and to ensure that all billing and collection procedures are performed in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with federal, state, and third-party liability guidelines, rules, and regulations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Essential Functions and Responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education /Experience
Required: High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience; knowledge of or
experience with Medicaid and Medicare regulations
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 3 years’ experience with
Medicaid, Medicare, and other medical billing. Knowledge of computerized billing software preferred.
License/Certifications
Required: n/a
Preferred: Certified Professional Coder or similar certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
